Entry Hours

Internet entries open at 12AM MDT on Fridays the week before the rodeo and remain open until 8PM MDT the following Monday.  Check the schedule page of the website, or the association newsletter for entry hours for each rodeo
Telephone lines are open from 12PM MDT on the Monday before the rodeo through 8PM MDT that evening.  Check the schedule page of the website, or the association newsletter for entry hours for each rodeo
Late entries will be accepted at the discretion of Midwest Rodeo Entries through the close of Check-Backs for the rodeo unless othewise designated by the approving association. Late entry fees will apply.


Information Needed to Enter

  • Card numbers for each contestant
  • Names, addresses, and phone numbers will also be necessary if contestant does not have a card
  • Contestants entering team events must complete the entry process for each individual on the team
  • Rodeo to Enter
  • First and Second performance preferences
  • "Draw Out" can be given as a second preference, but does not guarantee that the contestant will be placed in their first preference
  • Slack can be given as a first unless the hosting rodeo committee stipulates, but performances will be filled before slack
  • Events to Enter
  • Contestants entering team events must also know their partners name when entering.  Entries made without partners are considered void, and will be drawn out



Check-Backs

Each entry group will be given a 'Check-Back' number for verification of their entries during Check-Backs.  This number can be used both online and over the telephone
Telephone Check-Backs are available during the published hours for each association
Internet Check-Backs are available immediately following placement of contestants into performances.  This time can vary depending on the number of rodeos and contestants, but is usually before noon on Tuesday morning
Check-Backs during published hours are mandatory.  Entries are official and sent to rodeo secretaries immediately following check-back hours.  Any errors or discrepancies must be corrected before the close of check-backs, or the contestant will be responsible for performing as posted, or paying any fines assessed as a result of not competing


Buddy Groups

Contestant groups entered together will be placed together when possible
Buddy groups have a maximum of five contestants


Fees

Each entry will be assessed a fee at the rate pre-negotiated between Midwest Rodeo Entries and the approving association's board of directors
Contestants who receive their first performance preference and choose to draw out during check-backs will be assessed a $25 fee
Late entries are subject to a $25 fee
Turn-outs and no shows are still liable for the entry line fee
